Who We Are
A public - private partnership
DRC Fauna Conservation LLC is a U.S.-registered company formed as a joint venture between KMS Global LLC (51%) and the Institut Congolais pour la Conservation de la Nature (ICCN) (49%), the official government body responsible for managing the DRC’s national parks and nature reserves. We are uniquely positioned at the intersection of conservation, sustainable development, and climate finance, operating under the robust legal protections of U.S. law while partnering directly with the State of the Democratic Republic of the Congo.
Our Scope
Our company manages the conservation and carbon credit development rights for more than 10 million hectares of protected areas across the DRC, including some of the most iconic national parks and forests of Africa. These areas represent a critical reservoir of global biodiversity and carbon sequestration potential. Through internationally certified carbon credit programs — including Verra VCS, CORSIA, and other emerging standards — we aim to generate high-integrity Verified Carbon Units (VCUs) while delivering lasting environmental, social, and economic benefits.
What We Do
Forest Conservation and Carbon Credit Projects: We design, implement, and manage large-scale REDD+ and nature-based solutions (NbS) projects focused on climate mitigation. •Biodiversity Protection: We safeguard endangered species, fragile ecosystems, and vital habitats from threats such as deforestation, illegal mining, and poaching. •Community Development: We reinvest in local communities through employment opportunities, infrastructure development, education, healthcare, and alternative livelihoods. •Carbon Finance and Impact Investing: We offer high-quality, verifiable carbon credits to global buyers seeking to offset their emissions responsibly while supporting real-world conservation impacts.
Our Commitment
We uphold the highest standards of environmental integrity, financial transparency, and social responsibility. Our governance model ensures that the benefits of conservation efforts are shared equitably with local communities and national stakeholders, creating a truly sustainable path for conservation and development. Strategic Advantages •Exclusive Rights: Management of 10 million+ hectares of State-owned protected areas. •Strong Legal Structure: U.S.-based corporation under American law in partnership with the DRC government. •Massive Carbon Potential: Projected annual generation of over 100 million tons of CO₂-equivalent carbon credits, including biomass and soil carbon (SOC). •Global Reach: Offices and operational hubs in the United States, DRC, Dubai, Doha, Hong Kong, Switzerland, Bahrain, Singapore, Tokyo, Seoul, Abu Dhabi, Frankfurt, Paris, and London.
